You're not cute.

So how important are physical features in a relationship. Would you date someone ugly? Have you dated someone ugly? Are you ugly?

The first episode of Married at First Sight, definitely made me realize that physical attraction does mean a lot in a relationship. A lot of people can say that the physical chemistry is not all that matters. And I'm sure I've even said it. But if you were put in the situation where you were paired up to marry an ugly person would you do it? Would you have 2nd thoughts? Would you wait to find out what was in the inside before you swiped left?

I know I would have, no shame, I know. Now I know my hubbie isn't the hottest guy around, we all know that title goes to Lil Wayne (bwahaha) but honestly if he looked ugly and not my type I would have never given him a chance nearly 5 years ago. Same goes with him. He most definitely would not have asked me to dance at that summer party. He would have just seen me and said "Bye Felicia" before walking away!

So in a way I agree with Jacklyn for being so distraught and disappointed when she first laid eyes on her soon to be husband. But I also feel like she put herself in that predicament. She knew she was going to meet her husband for the first time seconds before saying I do so he could have easily not been her type physically, just as she may not be his type.

Have you ever been in a similar situation? Have you ever been on a blind date and found out you were set up with Shrek or Fiona? Be honest!

Just Go With It

Imagine this. You are at a bar and you overhear a man explaining to the good looking woman sitting next to him that he has not seen his wife in months. She has deserted her duties as a wife and mother to their 15 adopted children. The attracted woman we shall call, Naive, is eating his miserable story up and says he should go home with her so she can show him what he deserves with a seductive look. Off they go to begin their rendezvous. Believable? Only in the movies, so Just go With It.             Jennifer Aniston, Katherine, and Adam Sandler, Danny, play the ideal duo for this movie. She is the assistant of Danny and happens to be a single mother of two children. He is a wealthy plastic surgeon who had his heart broken on his wedding day. Since then he has taken on the life of faking near divorce, neglectful and horrendous marriages in order to persuade these stunning and young women to sleep with him. His perfect plan has continued to work until he meets a particular girl, Palmer,

I feel like I've known you FOREVER.

I feel this immense connection with him. I have to have known him from somewhere. But how we barely met a couple hours ago. But we have so much in common. He makes me laugh. He tells me I understand him. Wow did we just say the same thing at the same time?  Weird! Those are the words that so many of the participants in Married At First Sight gushed about to the cameras in last week's episode. Were those feelings sincere or were they just caught in the moment?  Can you truly feel like you've know someone for an eternity within days or hours or even minutes of actually meeting that person?  I feel like that is true to a certain extent, but then again I think that feeling of being caught in the moment is often intertwined with the feeling of knowing someone for an eternity which leads to feeling that immense connection. I think some people get caught up and just because they grew up watching the same cartoon they instantly feel like, "wow, they're the one it&#

Divorce

Is it really that bad? Bad enough for all if not most of the participants on Married at First Sight to swear that "Divorce is not an option" for them. Even though they have not met their future spouse, they can honestly say they trust the specialists to have found the perfect match for them? That is something I would be so afraid of. They definitely have more courage and trust than I do. I do not think I could honestly say divorce was out of the question if I were in their shoes. Not only because marriage is tough and sometimes it just doesn't work, but because they have no control over who they are marrying. They are being completely set up... and what if they're set up to fail? Then what... As it is you always hear that divorce rates are at 50%, although that 50% statistic is very misleading, if not completely wrong. The divorce rates are closer to 25% for all first-time marriages to end in a divorce. And those divorces do not involve the parties mee
