Well Hello There...

It's going on 4 years since I've been on this...

Way Way too long!

No worries though. I'm back and planning on staying.

4 years is a lengthy time. That's 1,460 days...35,040 minutes and about 4 seasons of The Walking Dead.

With time of course comes change. I've changed. Although I am still in love with chick flicks and watch them whenever I get a chance, I think that my short time of writing about them needs to change. But I will still keep one little thing the same. And that's the concept of LOVE. And all of the good and bad that comes with it.

So this time I'll be writing about ...

the 2nd Season of Married At First Sight.

As some of you know I got married on February 14th, just over a month ago. Yes on Valentine's Day... stop it with your eye rolls and your "Oh well he'll never forget your anniversary now" smack talk....because if anyone were to forget our anniversary it would probably be ME lol. Well with marriage still being a new thing to me I figure I could watch this show and tell all of you how it actually relates to "real marriage."

Stay tuned...

Just Go With It

Imagine this. You are at a bar and you overhear a man explaining to the good looking woman sitting next to him that he has not seen his wife in months. She has deserted her duties as a wife and mother to their 15 adopted children. The attracted woman we shall call, Naive, is eating his miserable story up and says he should go home with her so she can show him what he deserves with a seductive look. Off they go to begin their rendezvous. Believable? Only in the movies, so Just go With It.             Jennifer Aniston, Katherine, and Adam Sandler, Danny, play the ideal duo for this movie. She is the assistant of Danny and happens to be a single mother of two children. He is a wealthy plastic surgeon who had his heart broken on his wedding day. Since then he has taken on the life of faking near divorce, neglectful and horrendous marriages in order to persuade these stunning and young women to sleep with him. His perfect plan has conti...

I feel like I've known you FOREVER.

I feel this immense connection with him. I have to have known him from somewhere. But how we barely met a couple hours ago. But we have so much in common. He makes me laugh. He tells me I understand him. Wow did we just say the same thing at the same time?  Weird! Those are the words that so many of the participants in Married At First Sight gushed about to the cameras in last week's episode. Were those feelings sincere or were they just caught in the moment?  Can you truly feel like you've know someone for an eternity within days or hours or even minutes of actually meeting that person?  I feel like that is true to a certain extent, but then again I think that feeling of being caught in the moment is often intertwined with the feeling of knowing someone for an eternity which leads to feeling that immense connection. I think some people get caught up and just because they grew up watching the same cartoon they ...

That's all I kept hearing throughout the matchmaking pre-show and even in the beginning of the first episode of  Married at First Sight  from all of the specialists. After a while it started to bug me. I mean how can something so important in one's life be called a social experiment?    But the 6 individuals were in no way shape or form bothered by the fact that they were going to be involved in a social experiment. They were all oh so very eager to become a part of this social experiment as if it were to save their lives. Especially... the women.  Why is that? Why is that we as humans NEED love... NEED marriage?  I mean love and marriage are amazing and I'm glad I have found both. But even if I wasn't in love or even if I wasn't married I do not think I would be jealous of my siblings and parents because they have a significant other, like o...
